Nice features but faulty product

I had this product installed back in December of 2019. I have no complaints on the looks or features of the product but have been very disappointed in the performance of the product. We had the compressor fail in the first two years of owning it and then had it fail again right before the the 5 year warranty for it ran out. I will say LG has been good about the repairs but its cost me 100s of dollars in lost food and I dont believe an $8000 fridge should have major mechanical issues in the first 10 years let alone 2 in the first 5 years. Im very worried that this will happen again once we are out of warranty and it will cost me in excess of $1k to fix.

Great Signature Service - Gone down the Crapper

I love the appliance but when I first got the refrigerator it came with a defective compressor I called Signature Concierge Service and talked to a single person who then talked to the regional factory Signature trained service. Very professional techs showed the next day diagnosed the issue and replaced the compressor on the spot they also said they wanted to replace the condenser unit to ensure I had the newest part. The Concierge rep called me several times to update me and called after the repairs to check on the status of the refrigerator. I was going WOW am I in a dream land call one number get the same person for all my maintenance issues Im a Signature level customer for life Well Signature Service has been flushed to the bottom of the septic tank. I got a defrost error code on my fridge then it only cooled to the 50s I called Signature Concierge and got some guy who wanted to push to another guy who pushed me off etc.. At the 4th level I got someone who said they would have a repair rep out their the next day I asked the question Are they Signature trained? She didnt know what Signature was... The repair guy shows up diagnoses the issue and says this is Signature fridge Im not rated for this you require a Signature trained tech from the factory All right I call the Concierge service and I have to repeat everything no one has any records they can look at so Im forced to repeat 3 hours of telephone time I finally talk to a manager who never returned my call and after 3 weeks Im very happy that I bought a Sears refrigerator 29 years ago because that is the only thing still operating correctly and saved a lot of spoilage. My only problem is there are no trained repair techs in the lines someone drew Im 10 miles outside of DC and no reps and Im 100 VA disabled and have to down then up a very steep set of stairs to get a glass of iced tea or anything else I need like meds while I have to waste hours more of my time trying to find a trained rep Well LG has lost a customer which is nothing to them but I hope this comment costs them at least 100000 potential customers.

One of the 1.3 Owners

Have had the refrigerator since 10/18 and had the compressor replaced 8/21 under warranty and the freezer fan replaced 5/24. The compressor took over a month to obtain the part had to buy another refrigerator and lost hundreds of $ of food. Did receive partial reimbursement for the food loss. The fan was replaced for $400+ including labor which was not bad except it took over 10 days for an available tech to do the work. Had to buy a freezer to cover the outage. The tech said the model has 1.3 failure rate. Maybe LG sells the defective units to Costco where we purchased it. The ice maker is too small too little ice production

If i could give zero stars i would have. Only had the fridge in my kitchen for 3 yrs. After the first yr the compressor went. Repaired under warranty. Another 2 yrs later again it stopped working. This time it is NOT repairable. A leak in the cooling lines that are not accessible. LG sigmature fridge that cost ober $7k should last longer than 3 yrs.

Nice initial design with some flaws

I have had this refrigerator for about 3.5 years. While the design is initially appealing there are some cons that jump out. Likely the biggest con: a very small ice tub + it takes a long time to fill the ice tub. Often the tub will stay empty during hot summer days even after using the setting to make ice quicker. Some features such as the sensor that can open the door with a slide of foot near the bottom are over kill functions that sell products but are rather often useless in reality and just add to the cost. The shelf setup could be redesigned to include more height / shelf options. Fairly quickly it was clear that large jugs like 1 gallon milk jugs could not seamlessly coexist with smaller containers without wasting a lot of space. It would be great if the filters water fresh food filter had a longer shelf life before needing to be replaced. The current issue which is likely just bad luck and not model specific is the condenser stopped working causing the refrigerator and freezer to not cool enough. A repair is being done today but took a couple of weeks to arrange with the help of Square Trade / LG support. Overall considering it is the top model LG offers and expensive compared to mid / lower models it could be a better experience. Note: The refrigerator was part of the 3 piece LG Signature set refrigerator oven dishwasher and was purchased from Costco.

This fridge sucks

We have had it for 3 years and had multiple parts fail. LG was in no hurry to get it fix. 10 days without a fridge or freezer with temperatures over 100 degrees. Customer service sucks. I will NEVER by another LG product again

Problems from Day one

We have had the fridge for two years...the installers damaged a door...the replaced door did not close... had to have it replaced again...now the icemaker is not working and I have spent 20 plus hours with support etc trying to get this fixed....have an extended warrantee with Lowes for 5 years and that seems worthless...still no ice for 3 MONTHS...
